Should I Run
03:37
|
|||
You know it’s time to turn the lights down low and take it slow.
When resentment dances on our lips and graces our skin.
With words thick as smoke and soft like ash, we choke in vain.
Unwanted visitors, our contempt brings only pain.
Should I run or should I hide. Take cover.
I cannot decide.
Should I run.
I cannot decide.
Up around the bend of good intentions.
Open skies and golden rays pour down again.
But it’s not long before we see the enemy.
In the distance they have their eyes on me.
Should I run or should I hide. Take cover.
I cannot decide.
Should I run.
I cannot decide.
Bridge
Maybe the answers found in standing still
Should I run or should I hide. Take cover.
I cannot decide.
Should I run.
I cannot decide.

Here No More
04:25
|
|||
Next to my house there’s an old farm road.
Forgotten in the wind. Forgotten in the stone.
There’s a barbed wire fence. It’s broken and bent.
The pines have grown strong amongst the blackberry thorns.
No one travels here no more.
Their dreams and their worries have fallen back to the land.
In the clothes left behind now laid to rest in the sand.
Only stories and songs to remember their fate.
Memories left in the rock by the old mossy gate.
No one travels here no more.
The days turn to weeks and the weeks into years.
Have I wasted my life held back by my fears.
Hidden in the clutter and the dust on the floor.
Could I have done better? Could I have done more?
When I’m gone, and here no more.

Every Season
03:15
|
|||
When you’ve arrived where the tide brings a thousand tears
And when you’ve replaced inner faith with a rumbling fear
Take the time to collide, there's no reason to disappear.
Dive into the deep where the water is cool and clear.
Coasting through the standstill
Hoping that the time will
Filter all the feelings
Colour all the edges smooth
Every season
Brings another view
Every shadow
Brings another truth
When you have tried to deny every aching need
Dig down to the deep slow release that misery
Coasting through the standstill
Hoping that the time will
Filter all the feelings
Colour all the edges smooth
Every season
Brings another view
Every shadow
Brings another truth

Watch Me Fall
03:22
|
|||
Leaves shatter beneath my feet
Dry and brittle from summer’s heat
Feel the soft sun on my face
Autumn’s breeze will soon take its place
Watch me, watch me Fall.
There's signs of rot in this old deadwood
I’d go back to the start only if I could
So this young heart carries its old soul
To the stone walls it built long ago.
Watch me, watch me Fall.
The crickets hum in perfect time.
A warning of what’s down the line.
This wool is rough against my skin
Where am I going, where have I been?
Watch me, watch me Fall.
When the stars are tired of the night.
And the trees flood with signs of life.
I’ll start again and take my time.
Rest and strength are on my side.
Watch me, watch me Fall.

Quiet Hearts
03:47
|
|||
What a day! Can we go back, back to beautiful
Where dawn spreads out across an open floor
What a week! Have I lost track? A track that found me
Wandering in artificial dread
Illuminate these quiet hearts
That falter in the dark
And lose their way without a spark
...and keep us standing still
Hands against the wall
Miniature and small
Barely visible
What a year! Was it a waste of time or was it
necessary for our state of mind
Illuminate these quiet hearts
That falter in the dark
And lose their way without a spark
...and keep us standing still
Hands against the wall
Miniature and small
Barely visible
Illuminate these quiet hearts

Photograph of Secrets
04:02
|
|||
Written by Kristen Martell and Gabrielle Papillon
Take this lone parade of one emotion
March it to the grave with battered hearts in tow
Bleeding kingdoms fall on restless shadows
Darkness will defend the ones in need
Here’s a photograph of secrets for the remedy you seek
OOOh
A solid steady hum fills the silence
Guiding like a drum the ones in need
Cast a stone upon old waters for the reverie you seek
OOOh
Here’s a photograph of secrets for the remedy you seek
OOOh’s
(Take this lone parade of one emotion
March it to the grave with hearts in tow) repeat

Someday
04:26
|
|||
I don’t know ‘bout you but I’m getting tired,
Tired of trying to explain myself.
I can see your mind is twisting and turning.
Uncovering a past you’re not ready to see.
Now you sharpen your arrows. And steady your knife.
Jagged are your edges when you’re ready to fight.
It would take an eclipse to overshadow your lies
But only for a moment, you go blind. You go blind.
Someday you’ll come ‘round and I’ll be nowhere to be found
I’ll clear away the fog and be a rainbow in the clouds
Now if I were your shadow, and spoke your lies.
If I did your dirty work, would you be satisfied?
Or would you starve and crucify my dignity and pride.
Torture me the way you agonize inside
Someday you’ll come ‘round and I’ll be nowhere to be found
I’ll clear away the fog and be a rainbow in the clouds
I won’t let you drag me down
When bitter feelings hide upon the moving ground.
Tell me, am I coming through.
I can’t change your mind or change your point of view.
Someday you’ll come ‘round and I’ll be nowhere to be found
I’ll clear away the fog and be a rainbow in the clouds
